13 Moon Embroidery Circle
In ancient cultures all over the world, the Moon was used as a way to track time, connect to the cycles and rhythms of the Earth, and pass down ancestral wisdom. What if we could each create our own sacred relationship with the Earth and Moon and allow their wisdom and teachings to guide our lives.
13 Moons Women’s Embroidery Circle
A year-long creative journey
Stitch yourself back into belonging with the Earth and Moon as you create your own hand-embroidered 13 Moons Calendar
A year-long journey of connection & creation
In this 13 Moons Women’s Embroidery Circle, over the course of one year, you will be guided on an experiential and creative journey where you will deepen your connection and relationship with the Earth and Moon.
From these deepening connections, you will create your very own 13 Moons hand-embroidered calendar that will carry the learnings, wisdom, and teachings that come from your own sacred relationship with the Earth and Moon.
The Rhythm of our Gatherings
Over the 2027 calendar year, we will gather together online 13 times around each new moon. Each gathering will follow a repeating practice of:
Teaching · Connection · Reflection
Naming · Making
Through guided journaling and land connection practices, we will deepen our relationship with the land we call home and listen for what each moon and season is revealing to us.
Inspired by these connections, you will develop a personal moon name for each new moon that reflects your unique relationship with that time of year and the land where you live.
You will then translate the words, imagery, feelings, and teachings that emerge into a circular moon crest.
Each gathering will include time to begin drawing and embroidering your moon crest together, allowing the making to be a process of deeper connection.
A Living Tradition
At the end of the year, your moon crests will come together to form your own 13 Moons hand-embroidered calendar, telling the story of your own sacred relationship with the place you call home across a full cycle of the year.
Your 13 Moons calendar will become the beginning of your own living tradition: a way of remembering your sacred relationship with the Earth and Moon and inspiring ongoing connection, ritual, and traditions that can be carried forward and shared with your family and community for years to come.
